Woman Found Living With Dead Siblings
By Wyatt Earp | November 9, 2008
Oh, for God’s sake! Twenty years and no one figured this out? No one noticed they siblings were missing? No one noticed the flies and the stench?
And no, her name was not “Norma Bates.” I checked.
Either way, this woman is either certifiably insane, or she lost her sense of smell back during the Reagan administration.
CHICAGO – An elderly woman has been living with two skeletons and a badly decomposed body of her siblings in a suburb of Chicago, one of whom may have died at least 20 years ago, authorities said on Saturday.
The remains were found covered by sheets in various parts of the house in Evanston on Friday but no foul play was suspected.
Authorities said one of the siblings was last seen alive in the 1980s, the second in 2003 and the third in May.
The woman living in the house, described as “upwards of 90 years of age,” was cooperating in the investigation and was taken to a facility for care. (H/T – Reuters)
Strangely enough, the dead siblings are still voting in local and national elections. Remember, this is Chicago we’re talking about.

Scary how more than one person lived in the house with dead bodies, not just the remaining survivor.
This story reminds me of my favorite Faulkner short story, “A Rose for Emily“.

I am glad you picked out the Chicago voter angle. I wonder if her community organizer set her up to this?

Well she had a dream and she wanted all those votes to count. (Seriously… that is really sad!)
