Lawyer Chains Girlfriend To Couch

This story gives new meaning to the term “Ball and Chain.”
SANKERTOWN, Pa. – November 11, 2008 — A Pennsylvania defense attorney has been charged with chaining his pregnant girlfriend to a couch without a phone nearby after a fight.
But 40-year-old Mark Zearfaus, of Altoona, says he only used the chain because the woman has a drug problem and he was trying to keep her from taking drugs.
He faces a preliminary hearing Friday on simple assault, false imprisonment and harassment.
Police say Zearfaus hit the woman during an argument about 10 a.m. on Nov. 7 then returned to her apartment a half-hour later with a 31-foot chain, saying he didn’t want her to leave. Police say he padlocked one end of the chain to her ankle and the other to a couch. (H/T – WPVI)
Typical lawyer scumbag. If Zearfaus were really smart, he would have chained the girl to a vacuum. This way, some housework would still get done. I’m just sayin’.
