Global Warming A Hoax?

By Wyatt Earp | November 18, 2008

Yeah, warming. Right.

Yeah, warming. Right.

Yeah, we all know it’s a bunch of garbage, but I can’t resist posting another article that rejects Al Gore’s bunk. Well, the bright side is that Gore’s right-hand man o’ stats has been doctoring his data.

Color me surprised.

A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore’s chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

This was startling. Across the world there were reports of unseasonal snow and plummeting temperatures last month, from the American Great Plains to China, and from the Alps to New Zealand. China’s official news agency reported that Tibet had suffered its “worst snowstorm ever”.

But, but, that can’t be right! Um, right?

So what explained the anomaly? GISS’s computerised temperature maps seemed to show readings across a large part of Russia had been up to 10 degrees higher than normal. But when expert readers of the two leading warming-sceptic blogs, Watts Up With That and Climate Audit, began detailed analysis of the GISS data they made an astonishing discovery. The reason for the freak figures was that scores of temperature records from Russia and elsewhere were not based on October readings at all. Figures from the previous month had simply been carried over and repeated two months running.

Wow. I would think that the smartest man on Earth – Al Gore – would have better methodology and reporting.

Yet last week’s latest episode is far from the first time Dr Hansen’s methodology has been called in question. In 2007 he was forced by Mr Watts and Mr McIntyre to revise his published figures for US surface temperatures, to show that the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990s, as he had claimed, but the 1930s. (H/TUK Telegraph)

Lovely. Apparently “Doctor” Hansen has an agenda here, and it his agenda has nothing to do with accurate reporting of climate change. Looks like we can all go out and buy Hummers and gas-powered lawnmowers, kids! It’s not going to matter one damn bit!

So you don’t think global warming exists?

Randal – I think the climate changes all the time. I also think the global warming scare is just that: a scare that is overblown in its proportions. I also write this as I am freezing my arse off in Philly today.

Keep it up Wyatt and keep referring people to WUWT and Junk Science. Anthropogenic Global Warming is absolute bunk but not enough people have read the source data to know that. They just suck up what the Carbon Credit thieves tell them.

So imagine my shock when the NBC crew actually admitted that the glaciers on Kilimanjaro are not shrinking–they obviously didn’t run that by ALgore. And, of course, Hansen is an absolute hack.

And BTW, it’s cold over here in Pittsburgh too–but at least I’m inside. Snark, snark.

I believe in being good caretakers of our planet. I also believe that the Earth is gonna warm and cool on its own schedule – like it’s done since it was first formed – pretty much no matter what we do.

Cbullitt – Even Al Gore is distancing himself from it lately, instead, focusing on his baby, the internet. That has to tell you something.

Mike47 – Again, I think the scares are overblown.

Doghouse – Agreed. I think people like Gore overestimate our power.

ALgore is still getting rich with his carbon credit selling nonsense–but soon only the densest tree huggers will pay.

Global warming is an elaborate plot to divert money out of American coffers in an attempt to level the playing field.

If they can’t beat us on the battlefield nor in the marketplace, globalists planned to take us down by forcing us to pay for our “eco-sins” via Kyoto.

Thank heavens that didn’t get signed and even though the MSM here in the States doesn’t want to tell us, we are going through a global cooling period.

Al Gore, however, is telling them that all this erratic weather is the result of global warming and Bush, of course. And you’re right, Cbullitt, Gore’s cleaning up financially with this garbage.

The people of the UK are smarter than Americans regarding this … the majority over the pond don’t buy into all this propaganda.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have discovered that blogging is causing the earth’s magnetic poles to flip-flop. North will be south and south will be north. Ah, the horror of it all.

To remedy this, Wyatt, you and all your blogging friends, can send me a couple of hundred bucks each month, and I send you a magnetic write-off to keep your part of the blogosphere in balance.

    OK, honey?

There’s so much we don’t know about climate and to think that mankind can cause such drastic changes all by his lonesome is to me the height of hubris.

    Friday
Partly Sunny, High 31°, Low 21°
    Temperatures 10-degrees below average

yep I definitely see global warming… if I look at it cross eyed and upside down and backwards :D
Mother Nature follows her own schedule, it’s cyclic, it’ll warm up for years, it’ll cool down. Global warming, lemme know when it’s back on a warm up cycle would ya?

Thank you, Maggie! I’m so guilt-stricken! Where shall I send the check to mitigate this looming catastrophe? You remind me of St. Algore.

  14. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 19th, 2008 at 2:45 am

Maggie – Done and done! The check is in the mail!

Ky person – We probably have some effect, but I doubt we have anything near what Algore tells us.

E.L. – In the 70′s they cried about global cooling. Now, global warming is the “in” disaster. Meh.

Neshobanakni – You realize she was being sarcastic, right?

Don’t blow it for me, Wyatt, I had Neshobanakni on the hook!

And I so love to fish. ;-D

When Kyoto expires next year, the Chinese are going to try to … and I’m not making this up … sell the US carbon credits based on the savings they are creating by all of the babies they have aborted over the past several decades.

Their reasoning is that because these never-born babies aren’t creating CO2, they should be able to sell credits to us to offset.

If we don’t stop THEM now, we will be past the point of no return. The new administation and the democrat Congress will do whatever they can to redistribute the wealth of our country, using “climate change” and “global warming” and “save the planet, polar bears, tree frogs, spotted owls, snail darters, etc. as their rally cry.
