An Earp Ranch Update
By Wyatt Earp | November 18, 2008
Note: I do not want to demean the loss of Sergeant Simpson, but I needed to post something a little light right now. Please accept my apologies, but I am trying to get past the sadness of the day.
Snigs sent me an e-mail this week asking how the very pregnant missus was holding up during my recent laid-uppedness. (Yes, I am making up words and terms now. Ya wanna fight about it?) As you can plainly see from this photo – taken last month – she seems happy enough. Of course, she is smiling not because she is happy, but because she knows that right after this picture is taken, I will be on my deathbed for about 18 days.
But I digress. Snigs wanted an update, so figured I’d post the goings on in a Top Ten List. Enjoy!
The Top Ten Earp Family Updates
10. When I drink, the liquid no longer flows out of my incision.
9. Captain America’s constant construction is getting really annoying!
8. My sister Allison was promoted to bartender at her other job. Sweet!
7. Watching my team instead of playing hockey with them kinda sucks.
6. It would be nice if we had one Christmas where the wife wasn’t pregnant.
5. Yesterday, SYLG topped the 1,000 hit mark (1,230) for the first time ever! Thanks!
4. Kyle (7) went from an undefeated hockey season to a winless soccer season.
3. Erik’s (4) hair grows so fast that I’m referring to him as Fabio.
2. Baby Kevin is so big that he is on the undercard of UFC 94.
And the number one Earp family update is . . .
1. Baby Girl Earp is due January 3, but in true Earp fashion, she will probably arrive at 8pm on Christmas Eve – thus screwing Santa’s plans.

Thanks for the updates. I am so sorry about the loss of another fine officer and someone who obviously meant a great deal to you on a personal level as well as a professional level.
You will all be in my prayers.

Whoooa…wait a minutes! Mrs. Wyatt is pregnant again??
When the hell…
HOW the hell…
Didn’t you just get uhh??
Congratulations!
btw…I think Mrs. Wyatt should make sure you get snipped again, and then once more. You know, just in case.

Kim – Thanks. Bad day. Worse year.
DL474 – Where have you been? Yes, I was snipped, but she was already pregnant. Kevin is 9 months old, and the wife is seven months along. Do the math. Heh.

I apparently missed the posts explaining those things. Congratulations again!

DL474 – Not a problem, deary. I wasn’t trying to be snarky. I thought you knew already. I’m just really tired.

DL474 – Since Wyatt won’t explain the HOW, allow me to explain. When a man and a woman are married, sometimes the woman will put on a little bit of weight around the belly and then some night when the children are staying at a friend’s house, a stork will stop by with a bundle wrapped either in pink or in blue.

According to my quackulations, if Kevin is only 9 months and Erik is 4, there were a couple Christmases between them when the Mrs. wasn’t pregnant, again between Erik(4) and Kyle (7) couple more there. I hope the newest Earp comes on New Years Day
Nothing like ringing in a new year in grand style.

Kim – Or, both parents lose weight after a baby is born, and when they get the “green light,” they decide to go for it immediately – never guessing that the woman could get pregnant after having said baby.
E.L. – Yes, but every kid has been a winter kid. She is almost always pregnant during Christmastime.

Dude, I need a place to dump some leftover bricks. Can I use your driveway for a while?
I’ll stop building if you’ll stop procreating! *Snark*

That is a very nice picture.
I think Mrs. Earp deserves some really nice Christmas gifts this year.

Great picture. Babies are the best. The last one will keep you young for a very long time. I’m envious. Mine are 18 and 16.
I’ll have to go back and hit some old posts to get up to speed.
Condolences on the loss of Sergeant Simpson.

Y’all make a truly nice looking couple and RT is right, she deserves something really nice this Christmas.
My kids and the husband’s kids from his first marriage are all “winter” kids. The first one’s b-day is Dec 18th, the next is Dec 23rd, then Jan 8 & 23 for the other two. There must be something magical about April…maybe it’s the rabbit connection?

Thanks for the family update. I want to say once again.
Congratulations! And God Bless.

Captain – Done and done! As long as the snip worked.
RT – She looks good, but I never smile right. Meh.
Mare – Thanks. Our first girl. Should be an adventure.
Snigs – She IS getting something nice fir Christmas. The baby girl she’s wanted for 11 years now!
Rick – Thanks much!
