Nancy Pelosi: Bush A “Total Failure”
By Wyatt Earp | July 17, 2008

Just when you think Al Gore was the biggest jackass in politics . . . here comes Nancy! Okay, seriously. Her comments are some of the most idiotic of the year. And it’s been a very bad year for idiot politicians.
(CNN) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called President Bush “a total failure” on Thursday, among the California Democrat’s harshest assessments to date of the president.
And yet, he has a much better approval rating that your Congress, you idiot!
“God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States — a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject,” Pelosi told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in an exclusive interview.
And yet – again – the American people have spoken, and they think you and your cohorts on The Hill are worse than him!
“This is not a record to be proud of, and I think the American people deserve better,” Bush said.
I agree. They deserve better, and they should voice their displeasure at the ballot box. By the way, when are you up for re-election, you harpy?
“Everything I see says this is about ending the war — ‘I disapprove of Congress’ performance in terms of ending the war,’ ” she said. “In the House, we, of course, have over and over, five or six times, sent to the Senate legislation for a time certain to reduce our deployment in Iraq and bring our troops home safely, honorably and soon. We haven’t been able to get it past the Senate or the president of the United States.” (H/T – CNN)
Well, let’s see. First, the surge in Iraq has worked so well that some soldiers want to transfer to Afghanistan to get “more action.” Second, the Democrats are in control of both houses. So, why can’t they get Iraq surrender legislation past the Senate? Is it because there are some Democrats who won’t drink the Pelosi/Obama Kool-Aid? And finally, the disapproval rating is an overall rank, and is not based on one issue . . . and you know it.
Face it, Pelosi; your Congress has been dropping the ball for two years, and you want to divert attention away from yourself and your “leadership.” Unfortunately for you, even a lot of liberals aren’t buying your crap anymore.

That’s like Bush calling Pelosi a Total Failure.
“Hello pot, this is kettle.”

What is she smoking?

Admiral – Must be nice. She is probably respected there.
Randal – The whole superlative thing is just nonsense. Bush is not the worst President in history – by a long shot – especially considering tools like Andrew Johnson, Warren Harding, etc. Pelosi is not the worst Speaker ever, either.
Although her sense of timing is lousy. Maybe she should have waited until her Congress reached double digits in approval?
RT – Probably some sweet, delicious weed – laced with crack and PCP.

Pot kettle black, indeed. By the way, how much legislation did Congress pass in the 100 days after the Democrats took control. Hey, Nancy, sop talking about yourself and your friends. It’s real unbecoming you know that?

Bush’s approval ratings are higher than Congress, so… loser says what?

We are having major problems with energy, mortgages, schools, etc. So what did congress investigate with a parade of witnesses and much air time? Steroids in major league baseball.
And Peloisi has the nerve to criticize the President?

especially considering tools like Andrew Johnson, Warren Harding, etc.
Bill Clinton… Jimmy Carter…

Thanks a lot, Desert Sage. I was just about to write to Wyatt asking about the comment about the low Congressional approval.
It makes me wonder about the whole bunch of them, the politicians in Washington, both Democrat and Republican. What I don’t get about you guys is your total one-sided support of the conservative side. Is that some kind of loyalty or something? Aren’t they all a bunch of losers? Can you really blame the mess we’re in on the liberals and the Democrats?

Leoni2 – Well, they passed the law raising the minimum wage . . . then not a lot of anything.
Sebastian – Loser says Bush is a “total failure.” Heh.
DesertSage – Thanks. I forgot to post the link to the polling data.
Deanna – I think her fellow members of Congress – at least the Dems – are puppets. She is the puppet master, and a poor one at that.
Ky person – Well, baseball is important to our country . . . Sorry, I couldn’t write that with a straight face.
Smite – They’re both tools, bit Johnson and Harding were worse.
MikeB – You must be new here. This is a conservative blog, albeit – in my opinion – a fair one. I rip politicians when they’re being idiots, and there’s plenty of that going on.
And yes, I can blame the mess we’re in on the current Congress – which, in case you missed it – is controlled by Democrats. Republicans cannot pass anything without them.
