Denver PD Outlaws Protesters’ Arsenal
By Wyatt Earp | July 16, 2008
Good for them. That may save them a few bumps, bruises, and stitches during the Democrat Convention.
A draft law proposed by the Denver Police Department would ban the possession by protesters of materials such as weighted pipes and chains and items that can make urine and feces bombs.
Urine and feces bombs? Now see, if we had used them during World War II, the Allies would have marched into Berlin in about two weeks.
Police say that such materials are potentially dangerous. The City Council Safety Committee will review the proposal July 23.
An earlier version also would have made it unlawful to possess bulletproof vests and gas masks. (H/T – The Denver Post via Mope)
Ya know, Mope brought up a good point. If the Denver PD outlaws pipes, how will the hippies enjoy their bongs?

This already occurred in Sacramento (my little piece of the LE world), where it was decreed there would be NO repeat of Seattle. With the WTO meeting (http://www.mecgrassroots.org/NEWSL/ISS45/45.13gmo.html) we used video, horses, bicycles, motors, foot patrols to track, bottleneck and wall off certain sections BEFORE these shitstick were able to organize sufficiently for their next move. We found their covert operationg radio freqs (which they didn’t know and still don’t know) and had TONS of cops on foot. We limited the size of their signs, the size of the wooden dowels and boards used for support. They were MEGA-pissed. It was great. We beat them at their own game.
BZ
They should pass a bill that makes them bathe. That would keep them really far away from the convention.
Outlawing items that could be used to make urine and feces bombs?
Um.
Does that mean they’re outlawing dogs and cats? Or people? I’m confused…
How about, all of the above, RFTR?
BZ – We did much the same at the RNC in 2000. We rounded up ll of the ringleaders of the shenanigans, and locked them up before any of the pawns. Without the leaders, the protesters had no spirit, and after the first day, it was smooth sailing. Heh, it was great.
RT – Now that’s a great plan!
RFTR – I agree with Leoni2. Outlaw them and their hippie cats and dogs.
